Tata Nano GenX specs comprises mostly of the components, sub-assemblies and features, except for a few additions and massive change in appearance.
Tata Nano GenX is powered by the same 624 cc two-cylinder MPFI engine with cylinder head and block made of aluminium, producing same max power and peak torque of 38.19 PS @ 5,500 rpm and 51 Nm @ 4,000 rpm respectively. Manual variants are offered with 4-speed gearbox and new Easy Shift automatic variants are provided with 5-speed (Automated Manual Transmission) AMT technology.
The brand new version of the entry-level model from Tata Motors now features a fifth door at the rear, that has long been requested by customers. The car has also improved on its fuel tank capacity, from 15 litres to 24 litres. Tata Nano GenX now weighs between 755 and 765 kg. Tyres are the same, 135/70 R12 upfront and 155/65 R12 at the rear. Tata could’ve added disc brakes on front wheels, but all four remains drum type.
In terms of features, Tata Nano GenX gets central locking with remote, burglar alarm, fresh interior trims, new steering wheel carrying forward Zest / Bolt design, Multi Information Display with clock, low fuel warning, trip meter, average mileage and distance to empty; Amphistream music system with Bluetooth connectivity and four speaker; power steering, front power windows and externally adjustable outside rear view mirrors.
