Tata Nexon facelift launch will take place on 22nd Jan. Ahead of that, confidential email to dealers from the company has been leaked.
Tata Nexon facelifted variant has leaked ahead of its launch tomorrow. Images reveal the new front design, which is similar to that of the Nexon Electric, minus a few changes.
Nexon facelift will sport a sleek grille finished in piano black, with newly designed headlamps and sharper LED DRLs. It will also get revised fog lamps with black housing, new front bumper and airdam. 2020 Nexon Facelift gets all new dual tone alloy wheels. Side profile is more or less same, and so is the rear profile.
On the inside, it will get a revised instrument cluster, similar to the one on facelifted Tiago and Tigor. Upholstery colour is new and so is the dashboard. There is piano black finish on the door handle arm rests as well. Infotainment touchscreen system is same as before. What is new, is the steering wheel. Which is now much sportier in design as well as feel.
Facelifted Nexon will also get connected car features, hat tip to Motor Arena India for sharing this update. Top variants XZ+ (O) and XZA+ (O), will come with eSIM. This make Nexon the first Tata car to come with connected car features. Other cars on offer with internet connected features are MG Hector, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Kona, Hyundai Venue, etc.
On board the Nexon electric, Tata is calling these internet connected features as ZConnect. The same on Nexon petrol BS6 and diesel BS6 is called as iRA. Tata Nexon iRA Internet connected features will allow owners of Nexon BS6 to use their smartphone app to control car features like AC, lock / unlock, find location of car, car driving condition, share live location, geo fencing the car, check car data, etc. Tata ZConnect comes with a total of 35 internet connected features. Expect Tata to roll out these iRA connected car features on board the Harrier BS6 and Gravitas SUV, both of which are expected to launch in the coming weeks.
The 2020 Tata Nexon facelift is expected to be powered by a 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine which would comply with BS VI emission norms. Currently, the BS4 1.2 liter petrol unit will offer 110 PS power and 170 Nm torque while the BS4 1.5 liter diesel engine will be capable of 110 PS power and 260 Nm torque. Both engines will get mated to 6 speed manual as well as AMT.
2020 Nexon BS6 will be priced higher as compared to the current model, which is priced from Rs.6.58 lakhs. This is thanks to BS6 engine update and feature updates. Once launched, it will take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, etc.
