Tata Nexon SUV debuts at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show – Photos
Tata Nexon India launch is expected to take place by Diwali 2017.
Showcased in production-ready guise at the 2016 Auto Expo back in February last year, the Nexon compact SUV has now made its international debut at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show along side the Tigor sedan and the TaMo RaceMo sportscar.
Based on the company’s new IMPACT Design philosophy, Tata Nexon features projector headlamps, contrasting roof, LED daytime running lights and tail lamps besides a ceramic side finisher, 16” alloy wheels, and piano black hexagonal front grille. A well-sculpted bumper, prominent fog lamp housing and larger air dam will also be seen on the new Tata Nexon.
Tata Nexon measures 3,995mm in length and has ground clearance of 200mm. Interiors will boast of a dual tone theme in off white and black/gray combination while top end Tata Nexon will sport a 6.5-inch touchscreen Harman infotainment system with 8 speakers.
Tata Nexon is slated to come in powered by a new 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine offering 89 bhp power and a 1.5-liter diesel engine capable of 110 ps power and 260 Nm torque. The engines will be mated to 5-speed manual and 6 speed MT respectively. AMT variant is also confirmed for launch.
The Tata Nexon will give the automaker access to a highly lucrative market segment which is populated by the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. The eagerly awaited Maruti Vitara Brezza will also join the party soon.
