There is sufficient room inside the cabin, much of which has to do with wheelbase of 2498 mm. Tata has been able to achieve this by pushing the axles towards the terminal ends of the vehicle.

Tata Nexon Rivals

Being a compact SUV, the new Tata Nexon will go on to rival a slew of models ranging from other sub-4 metre SUVs like the Vitara Brezza to pseudo crossovers like the Honda WRV. Here’s a look at the rivals-

Tata Nexon Review – Exterior Design Review

The new Nexon SUV looks nothing like anything else out there on the road. The car looks just too modern and impresses with its distinct and attractive design. The aesthetics are the work of Pratap Bose’s skilled design team. The new model follows the company’s Impact design language and honestly, this has to be the best looking Tata car on sale today. The design’s chief characteristics include- The Humanity Line, Diamond DLO and the Slingshot Line. Other major highlight of this SUV’s styling includes the ample usage of ceramic finish appliqués in the Nexon’s window line and below the rear windscreen. The coupe-like roofline gives the car a really sporty touch. We are happy that the new model stays true to the concept we saw a couple of years ago. We are pretty sure that the looks will be a big USP of the new Tata Nexon compact SUV.

Tata Nexon Colours

The new compact SUV offers following colour options-

– Vermont Red
– Moroccan Blue
– Seattle Silver
– Glasgow Grey
– Calgary White

Tata Nexon Interior

Even the interior is almost identical to the one we saw on the concept. The cabin flaunts a really modern design and high quality plastics. Fit and finish is decent and the cabin doesn’t feel like it belongs an entry-level SUV. The highlight of the dashboard is a touchscreen infotainment system mounted on the dashboard. The arrangement does remind us of some much more expensive cars from a famous Ingolstadt-based auto maker. The boot space, at 350-litres, is pretty generous for a car in this segment. There are several storage spaces in the cabin. The front door pads can easily hold a 1-litre bottle and there’s even a provision to hold umbrellas. The Nexon, however, can seat only four adults comfortably. This is due to the bucket-seat like arrangement at the rear. Seating a kid in the middle shouldn’t pose a big problem though.

Tata Nexon Engine & Transmission

The new Tata Nexon compact SUV offers two engine options, both of which are turbocharged units. The petrol engine displaces 1.2-litres and produces a maximum power-torque of 108 BHP-170 Nm. The diesel engine has a cubic-capacity of 1.5-litres and generates a maximum power-torque of 108 BHP-260 Nm. Both the engines come mated to six-speed manual transmissions. Speculations are rife that Tata will launch AMT models of the Nexon in coming months. These engines offer a good blend of mileage and performance.
