Showcased in production-ready guise at the 2016 Auto Expo back in February, new photos of Tata Nexon have now emerged. Unlike the previous photos, these are the first ever uncamouflaged photos of the Nexon shot in the real world.
Based on the company’s new IMPACT Design philosophy, Tata Nexon will be launched after Hexa SUV and Kite 5 sedan, which are expected to launch in July 2016 and Nov 2016 respectively. Kite 5 launch will take place by May 2017.
External features include projector headlamps, contrasting roof, LED daytime running lights and tail lamps besides a ceramic side finisher, 16” alloy wheels, and piano black hexagonal front grille. A well-sculpted bumper, prominent fog lamp housing and larger air dam will also be seen on the new Tata Nexon.
Tata Nexon measures 3,995mm in length and has ground clearance of 200mm. Interiors will boast of a dual tone theme in off white and black/gray combination while top end Tata Nexon will sport a 6.5-inch touchscreen Harman infotainment system with 8 speakers.
Tata Nexon is slated to come in powered by a new 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine offering 89 bhp power and a 1.5-liter diesel engine capable of 110 ps power and 260 Nm torque. The engines will be mated to 5-speed manual and 6 speed MT respectively. AMT variant is also confirmed for launch.
