Tata Nexon XT+ variant replaces XT – Top trim gets 7 inch touchscreen

Tata Motors has updated the Nexon variants once again. Tata Nexon XT+ and XZ variant now have front DRLs. Akin to other variants, XT+ now also gets projector headlamps, a height adjustable driver seat, and an 8-speaker system. Both XT+ and XZ gets front fog lamps.

XT+ still doesn’t come equipped with a Connectnext touchscreen info by Harman-Kardon. It also misses out on alloys. The external antenna too has been updated. Climate control functionality is manual in both these variants and automatic in the XZ+ and XZA+ variant. In its newest avatar, Nexon XT+ in petrol costs Rs 8.02 lakhs. Nexon XT+ in diesel costs Ra 8.87 lakhs.

Tata Nexon XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ variants continue to feature Connectnext, only now, it’s a bigger 7” touchscreen as compared to the previous 6.5” screen. The info system offers better touch-response, and aesthetic updates in the touchscreen UI.

The advanced 7” (17.78cm) touchscreen info system connects with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Voice recognition tech helps access navigation, phone calls, and music at the press of a button. One can read and reply to text/Whatsapp messages via voice command.

Tata Motors has updated its Nexon compact SUV with a larger touchscreen now measuring 7” as against the earlier 6.5” screen. This is exclusively on the Nexon XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ variants while the company has also introduced a new XT+ variant.

This new XT+ gets both petrol and diesel engine options and priced at Rs.8.08 lakhs and Rs.8.87 lakhs respectively. Nexon XT+ variant replaces the Nexon XT. It gets additional features such as projector headlamps, DRLs and front fog lamps where it exterior design elements are concerned. Interiors boast of an 8 speaker sound system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth and adjustable driver seat.

Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine and 1.5 liter diesel engines mated to 6 speed manual and AMT gearbox. The petrol engine offers 110PS power and 170Nm torque while the diesel engine is capable of 110PS power and 260Nm torque. It being a compact SUV, Nexon rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the Hyundai Venue.
