Tata Nexon XZ variant launch soon – Brochure leaked

Ahead of launch of Nexon AMT variants, Tata Motors has launched a new trim of Nexon, which sits below the current topend trim. Hat tip to Mr Aditya Joshi.

Despite its late entry into the SUV segment in India, Tata Nexon has garnered immense attention. Its competitive pricing and attractive stance has put the Nexon in the top 10 selling SUVs list in India.

Every month, Tata sell more than 4,000 units of Nexon in India. With the year 2018 just started, they plan on increasing this number soon. They have now added a new variant, which sits just below the topend XZ Plus variant, it is called the XZ trim.

As compared to the XZ Plus trim, the features new Nexon XZ trim will be missing out will be – dual tone roof colour, DRLs, 16 inch machine cut alloys, grand center console with front armrest and sliding tambour door, rear seat center armrest with cup holders, rear 60-40 seat split, front fog lamps with cornering assistance, rear fog lamps, rear defogger, and smart key with push button smart. Apart from this, all other features which are seen on board the topend XZ + trim, are on offer with the new Nexon XZ trim.

Price is expected to start from Rs 8.1 lakh, ex-showroom. Below are the new brochure scans of Tata Nexon with the inclusion of new Nexon XZ.

Launched in the sub 4-meter SUV segment, Tata Nexon compact SUV entered production on 20th July this year. Last month, Tata announced that production had crossed 25,000 units.

The new Tata Nexon takes on the likes of new Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport. It is aggressively priced from Rs 6.12 lakhs to Rs 9.71 lakhs, ex-showroom.

New Tata Nexon has been designed on Tata Motors’s IMPACT design philosophy, on which Tiago and Tigor has been designed. To feature a 2+3 seating arrangement, Nexon will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Tata NEXON is a short form of “NEXT-ON” which signifies the inspiration of NEXON from next level of things.

Engine options on offer are – a 1.2 liter turbocharged Revotron petrol engine and a 1.5 liter diesel engine option. The petrol engine 1.2 liter 3 cyl will deliver 110 PS @ 5000 rpm and 170 Nm @ 2000-4000 rpm while the 1.5 liter 4 cyl diesel will deliver 110 PS @ 3750 rpm and 260 Nm @ 1500-2750 rpm. Both engines will are mated to a 6 MT. AMT options bookings are open and will be launched soon.

New Tata Nexon is made for India. Exteriors feature a mesh grille, new bumper design, circular headlamps, customization options for body kit and contrasting color options for body and roof.

Tata Nexon also receives a host of comfort and connectivity features as is seen on board the new Tiago. One of the highlight is the standalone touchscreen infotainment system powered by Tata’s ConnectNext platform. It also gets a Harman Kardon music system.
