With these latest images, the Smart+ trim finally steps out of brochure renders and feature lists, offering a realistic view of its exterior styling, interior layout and feature positioning at the base level. Hat tip to RS Autoworld for sharing these exclusive images.

Tata Sierra Smart+ Base Variant – Exterior
Despite being the base Smart+ variant, the Sierra does not look stripped down. The design remains unmistakably Sierra, with the upright stance, squared-off proportions and strong shoulder line giving it a robust road presence.

The Smart+ variant features LED headlamps, flush door handles and signature Sierra styling elements, ensuring it does not feel visually basic. Alloy wheels are skipped at this level, with steel wheels doing duty. Overall, the exterior treatment prioritises clean design over flashy elements, aligning well with buyers who prefer understated styling.

Tata Sierra Smart+ Base Variant – Interior
Inside, the Sierra Smart+ takes a practical approach. The cabin layout is clean and uncluttered, focusing on space and usability rather than premium touches. The dashboard design is simple, with a clear emphasis on durability and ease of use.

As seen in the images, the Smart+ variant does not get a touchscreen infotainment system, which Tata has reserved for higher trims. Instead, it features a basic centre console layout, keeping costs in check. There are no speakers on offer as well. Upholstery is finished in dark fabric, and while the materials are functional rather than plush, the overall fit and finish appear consistent with Tata’s recent products.

The highlight remains interior space, with the Sierra’s boxy design translating into a roomy cabin, especially for rear-seat occupants. Large windows and an upright seating position further enhance the sense of openness.
Tata Sierra Smart+ Base Variant – Features and Safety
While Smart+ is positioned as the base variant, Tata has ensured that it does not compromise on core safety. The Sierra Smart+ comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes and ISOFIX mounts, making safety a strong selling point even at the entry level.

Comfort and convenience features are limited, but essentials such as power windows, manual air conditioning and a multifunction steering wheel are present. The approach is clear—Smart+ is designed for buyers who prioritise safety, space and brand value over infotainment-heavy feature lists.

Tata Sierra Smart+ Base Variant – Powertrain Options
The Sierra Smart+ is offered with 1.5 L naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines, paired with manual gearboxes. More powerful turbo-petrol options and automatic transmissions are reserved for higher trims, keeping the base variant accessible from a pricing perspective. Price starts from Rs 11.49 lakh ex-sh.
