Tata Tiago Aktiv white and brown colors emerge online

The Tata Tiago Aktiv, a fully accessorized derivative of the regular hatchback, is reported to be put into a limited production run to check if it has market potential. Renderings of the Aktiv in Pearlescent White and Espresso Brown were shown at a briefing in Tata’s design studio and the images have surfaced online.

So far, we have seen the Tiago Aktiv as a Striker Blue exhibit at both Auto Expo and Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

The Tiago Aktiv sports new bumpers, alloy wheels, roof rails and several other visual add-ons.

The decision to sell the Aktiv in limited numbers or on built-to-order basis stems from a positive customer reaction to Tiago accessories. Items like contrast black roof, black plastic cladding, roof rails, body decals, etc, are being sold at around INR 30,000 as of now. The Aktiv could more items like modified bumpers and exclusive alloy wheels.

The Tiago Aktiv could feature more items like modified bumpers and exclusive alloy wheels. The new derivative would command a premium over the regular hatchback.

The new variant will be targeting crossover-loving audience.

We don’t expect the accessorized variant to undergo any mechanical changes. The Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.05-litre RevoTorq three-cylinder diesel engine. The former puts out 85 PS while the latter is capable of 70 PS. Both motors are mated to a standard 5-speed manual transmission.
