First unveiled back in November last year, it will be almost four months when the new small car from Tata Motors is finally launched. Tata Tiago is compact hatchback which will sit below existing Bolt hatchback in the company line-up.
To be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, Tata Tiago is the first car to be designed on the company’s new IMPACT design language.
Petrol engine option of Tata Tiago is in the form of new 1.2 liter three-cylinder Revotron engine which is rated at 85 PS and 114 Nm. Diesel engine is in the form of new 1.05 liter three-cylinder Revotroq mill which generates 70 PS and 140 Nm torque. Mileage figures are yet to be unveiled, but we expect the petrol mill to claim 18+ kmpl and the diesel mill to claim about 25 kmpl.
Features on offer with Tata Tiago include Harman infotainment system with best in class music system, smartphone integration via Tata ConnectNEXT, TFT display, AM/FM, air condition, etc.
Promoted by Lionel Messi, Tata’s new global brand ambassador, Tiago marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the car maker. Tiago is not only a car made for India, but also for global markets. Post launch in India, Tata Tiago will also be launched in SAARC and European markets.
