First units of Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP have reached the company dealerships in many cities across India. Test drives of both the performance cars have started. Today, Tata Motors revealed that the first Tiago JTP owner in India, has taken delivery of the sports hatchback.

The performance tuned Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP receive mechanical as well as visual updates. Both cars come with new front and rear bumpers, a new front grille, side skirts and blackened mirrors. It also receives new spoilers at the rear, twin barrel headlamps and new alloy wheels. Interiors also receive sporty features with all black color schemes on seats with contrasting stitching, aluminum pedals and a new 8 speaker sound system with voice commands and navigation. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, front fog lamps, rear washer and wipers, day and night IRVMs along with central locking system.
Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP share the same engine specifications They are powered by a 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine offering 114 bhp power at 5,000 rpm and 150 Nm torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. This engine allows acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.95 seconds on the Tiago JTP and in 10.38 seconds on the Tigor JTP. The two JTP models are offered in two driving modes of City and Sport with top speed capped at 160 kmph.
Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are not on sale across the country. Their sale is limited to cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kannur, Thrissur, Mumbai and Cochin.
The Tiago JTP is priced at Rs 6.39 lakhs while the Tigor JTP is priced at Rs 7.49 lakhs. Following the success of the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP, Tata Motors could slap the JTP label on the Nexon and Tata Harrier as well.
