Offers are valid till January 15, 2019. Cash discounts of Rs 50,000 are on offer for Bolt and Zest. While Tata Motors was able to post marginal sales growth of 1 percent to end a December that’s been difficult for the Indian auto market, it did report sales decline for both Bolt and Zest.
Bolt sales were down to 86 units, down 45 percent from 157 units sold in Dec ’17. Zest sales at 529 units were down 57 percent from 1237 units sold in Dec ’17.
Tata Motors’ seven-seater SUV portfolio sees Sumo, Hexa and Safari being offered with cash savings of upto Rs 20,000. There’s also an exchange bonus on offer. In December 2018, Sumo and Safari + Storme sales were reported at a double digit increase, and Hexa at a double digit decline.
Sumo sales were reported at 637 units, up 29 percent from 494 units sold in Dec ’17. Safari + Storme sales were reported at 466 units, up 55 percent from 301 units sold in Dec ’17. Hexa sales were down 44 percent at 682 units sold, down from 1219 units sold in Dec ’17.
MY 2018 Tata Tiago and Tigor are being offered with insurance benefits. Tata Tiago sales last month were up 7 percent at 5628 units sold compared to 5242 units sold in Dec ’17. Tata Tigor posted significant sales growth at 38 percent at 1751 units sold, up from 1270 units reported sold in December ’17.
Offers curated for MY2019 cars are limited to an exchange bonus. Tata Nano is on offer at nominal insurance of Re 1, an exchange bonus and free insurance. Exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 or Rs 15,000 depending on model year. Tata Nano sales last month were reported at a paltry 88 units at 6 percent decline, down from the meagre 94 units the company sold in December 2017.
