Watch Tata Tigor make its way through 5 feet water flooded road – Video

Launched earlier this year, the new Tata Tigor compact sedan has surprised many with its powerful engine.

Heavy rains in Mumbai and surrounding area has unsettled everyone in the region. Lakhs of people were stranded, and thousands of vehicles were damaged. Now, a video has emerged online, which shows how a brave Tata Tigor driver has managed to cross through a flooded road with about 5 feet deep water.

The video shows a few people who are stuck on the other side of the road, frantically telling the Tigor driver to not try and cross the water filled road. But, the Tata Tigor driver does not listen and seems confident that his car will manage to cross without any fuss. Surprisingly it does.

The way Tigor handles itself in such deep water is impressive to say the least. At one point in the video, the entire car is submerged in the water. In spite of all that, the car manages to cross the flooded stretch with quite ease.

The people who were on the other side, were left stumped. The Tigor driver passes them, and does not even acknowledge their presence. At the end of the video, you can see that the people stranded on the road, were travelling in a Toyota Etios sedan. In spite of Etios having a more powerful engine, the Etios driver did not risk going on the other side. Watch the video below to believe.

Tata cars have always been known for their robust built quality and this new video proves that fact once again. The reader who shared the video, was part of the group who was stranded in the Etios sedan. In order to get to the other side, they had to cross the water filled road on foot. It is while crossing he realized that the water was neck dip (about 5 feet) at one section.

Launched at a starting price of INR 4.7 lakh, Tata Tigor is offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine is in the form of 1.2 liter 3 cyl mill generating 85 PS and 114 Nm while its 1.05 liter 3 cyl diesel mill delivers 70 PS and 140 Nm. Both are mated to a 5 speed MT.
