Tata Vista Automatic launch confirmed in Indonesia

It was in September 2013 that Tata Motors officially entered Indonesia, via PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia – a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, India. At that time, they launched three new passenger vehicles, Aria MPV, Vista hatchback and Safari Storme SUV, all with manual transmission.

Tata Vista AT IndonesiaTata Vista with Automatic Transmission is now ready to be launched in Indonesia and the same has been announced by the company, much to the delight of buyers in the country. As disclosed by Mr. Manoj Arora, Head – Sales and Marketing PT Tata Motors, Indonesia, this AT variant of the Vista is sure to attract even more attention judging by the affirmative response that the Vista manual transmission received.

To be called, Tata Vista Matic in Indonesia, this variant will see the hatchback sporting the same engine as seen on the manual variant in the form of a 1.4l 4 cylinder DOHC petrol engine producing 90 hp peak power at 6,000 rpm and 116 Nm peak torque at 4,750 rpm. However, to distinguish itself from the manual variant, the Vista AT will boast of spruced up interiors to include single DIN audio with Bluetooth.

Tata Aria AT IndonesiaTata Motors has announced extensive plans where new car launches and expansion of dealership network for Indonesia is concerned. At the Indonesia International Motor Show, Tata Motors will showcase three new cars – Zest, Bolt and Nexon Concept SUV. Of these three, Zest and Bolt are expected to be launched in Indonesia later this year, or early next year. Tata Indonesia is also contemplating Aria AT.

On dealership front, Tata Motors Indonesia aims to expand their base from existing 37 outlets to 60 by the end of this fiscal. Their aim is to enter the top 15 car makers list by 2015 and in the top 10 list by 2018.
