The Tata Xenon Evolve special edition pickup truck has been launched in South Africa. The new variant which is exclusively marketed in the South African market appears to be executed by Accordion Investments, Tata’s authorized distributor in the country.

The pickup features a host of additional features compared to the regular variant of the pickup.

The special edition gets black paintjob.

For starters, it is finished in black exterior color and gets contrasting white decals on the load bay. Other highlights on the exterior include black alloy wheels, silver foot board, a thick chrome rollover hoop behind the cabin, a bull bar at the front, and a tow bar.

Inside, enhancements come in the form of leather upholstery, an infotainment system with GPS navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, and Evolve branded floor mats. Equipment highlights include dual airbags, ABS, power windows and tilt adjustable steering wheel.

The pickup gets sporty decal treatment as well.

The Xenon is powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox to developĀ 147 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The Tata Xenon Evolve special edition is priced atĀ 269,995 rands (around INR 12.33 lakhs) for the 4×2 variant. Accordion will get you a 4×4 variant on order.

The is no word on how many special special edition versions will be sold in South Africa.
