Tata Motors shows Zest AMT F-Tronic production ready sedan

Tata Motors is preparing for one of the biggest launches this year – Zest compact sedan. Currently, Rush Lane is in Goa attending the media drive for the new Zest. Here are the first images (exterior and interior) of Tata Zest.

Tata Zest 1 Media DriveOfficial launch date is yet to be revealed, but what is confirmed is that the new Tata Zest will be launched in the next few days. Once launched, Tata Zest will compete with cars like Honda Amaze, Maruti Swift DZire and Hyundai Grand i10.

Tata Zest will be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine will be all new 1.2l turbocharged mill. This is developed in-house by Tata. It will generate maximum power of 85 PS and a peak torque of 140 Nm. A diesel engine will also be on offer, and this will be in the form of Fiat sourced 1.3l MultiJet. It will generate maximum power of 90 PS and peak torque of 200 Nm. Transmission option, as revealed by Tata during Auto Expo, will be in the form of 5 speed manual and AMT F-Tronic.

Tata Motors is leaving no stone unturned in the sales and service front having resorted to hire 3000 personnel across its 250 Indian dealerships, of which 160 have been renovated. It’s a rehaul for a new Tata Motors outlook. Dealerships are now using HP tablets to showcase its cars to new buyers.
