Tata Motors has introduced the Zest XTA trim with AMT. Pricing of Rs 8.07 lakhs is INR 70,000 more than the XT manual trim, and about Rs 1.06 lakhs more than the existing AMT variant.
Tata Zest XTA top diesel trim with AMT gearbox will receive all the onboard equipment and features as seen on the Zest XT trim which will include a Harman Kardon ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate controls, voice commands, dual airbags, parking sensors and adjustable driver’s seats. The top end trim will also receive rear end defogger and daytime running lights besides alloy wheels, LED guide light and smartphone enabled navigation.
Tata Motors launched Zest sedan in India last year. The reason they have announced a new trim right now, is due to customer demand. Many customers had complained that they wanted all the top-end features on board a AMT variant. It is impressive that Tata Motors have paid heed to their customers and launched the new Tata Zest XTA AMT.
Tata Zest XTA AMT is powered by a 1.3 liter four cylinder diesel engine with VGT offering 90 PS peak power at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm peak torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm. Tata claims that the variant offers fuel efficiency of 21.58 kmph and a top speed of 170 kmph. Tata Zest XTA AMT is being offered in a choice of exterior colors that include Sky Grey, Buzz Blue, Platinum Silver, Pristine White, Dune Beige and Venetian Red.
Set to rival the Maruti DZire, Hyundai Xcent, and Honda Amaze, bookings of the Tata Zest AMT are already opened at company dealerships across the country. Deliveries will commence in April 2015.
