Tata Motors will officially unveil the new Zica small car in a few hours from now at an event in Goa. Before that, they have shared a new video teaser of the new Zica, which reveals the dashboard and the instrument panel of the Zica in detail.
The dashboard pic confirms that Zica shares interior design with Bolt and Zest. Featuring all black treatment on the dash, Tata Zica will get three spoke steering with controls to the audio and FM system. Centre console features matte aluminium accents, similar to the one on the steering wheel. Cnetre console houses a TFT display screen, buttons to FM controls, AC controls, bluetooth setup, etc.
The instrument panel houses two circular pods, one housing tachometer with engine temperature, while the other is a speedometer with fuel gauge. In between the two, is a TFT screen which acts as MID, showing time, trip meter, gear engaged, door sensors, instant fuel efficiency, etc. Above this screen, you can clearly see the two driving modes – City and Eco. This confirms that Tata Zica will come in two driving modes, very similar to that seen on board Zest and Bolt.
To be offered in a choice of new 3 cylinder petrol and diesel engines, Zica derives its name from ZIppy CAr. Though there is not much info available on these new engines, the petrol motor is expected to be rated in the range of 70 PS, while the diesel is expected to be in the range of 60 PS.
To rival the likes of Hyundai i10, Maruti Celerio, and Maruti WagonR, Tata Zica will be launched in the second week of January 2016. We expect price to range from INR 3.8 to 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). More details (variants, mileage, engine options, features, etc) will be revealed later today.
