Tata Zica is the new global small car from Tata Motors. To be promoted by none other than Lionel Messi, Tata Zica derives its name from the term ZIppyCAr. Designed at Tata Motors Design Studios in Pune, Italy and UK, hi-res photos of the new Tata Zica have been revealed officially, detailing every aspect of the car.
Set to take on the likes of Hyundai i10, Maruti WagonR and Celerio, new Tata Zica hatchback will be powered by a new range of three cylinder petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine is rated at 85 PS and 114 Nm, while the diesel mill is rated at 70 PS and 140 Nm. Transmission is taken care by a 5 speed MT, while AMT option will be launched at a later date. Mileage figures are not revealed yet.

Tata Zica is 3746 mm long, 1647 mm wide, 1535 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2400 mm and ground clearance of 170 mm. Petrol variant weighs 1012 kgs while the diesel variant weighs 1080 kgs. Tyres are in the form of 175/65 R14 rubber, wrapped around 14 inch alloys. Airbags, ABS, and EBD are on offer for safety.
Speaking about interiors, they been borrowed from Tata Bolt and Zest. Interiors sport a three spoke, short diameter, multifunction steering wheel, power windows and a hexagonal central console are evident while interiors are done up in a beige and black color scheme. A Harman-sourced sound system with 8 speakers, front and rear power windows, steering mounted controls and driver and passenger airbags will be on offer with Tata Zica.
To be launched in January 2016, price will be ranged from INR 3.8 lakh to INR 5.5 lakh (estimated).
