Tech Mahindra to manage Volvo Car Group end-to-end IT Infrastructure


Following an agreement entered into, Volvo Cars will now be supported by Tech Mahindra’s Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) practice team. Tech Mahindra Limited, leaders in connected solutions will offer IT infrastructure support and services to Volvo Car Group in various countries all across the globe including Sweden, Belgium and China.

This agreement with Tech Mahindra follows a similar Volvo Car partnership with Infosys, Bangalore based leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing solution who will be developing and providing software applications for Volvo Cars global operations.

mahindraThis agreement of partnership with Tech Mahindra was signed in February and will cover 2800 servers of all Volvo Car offices, factories and data centers besides R&R centers and manufacturing hubs. It will be in the form of a 24×7 support which will be offered in seven languages covering 4000 factory devices and 30,000 end users which will also include Volvo Cars dealer networks. Volvo Cars to be supported by Tech Mahindra’s Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) practice team has a presence in 36 countries as on date.

Though no financial details of this partnership were revealed, it was disclosed that it will be a multiyear, multimillion dollar contract that it will entail application maintenance and development besides introduction and management of hybrid cloud strategies for the auto company.
