Tesla Model S gets even faster: P85D does a 0-100 in 3.2 seconds

The top-spec Model S P85D, comes in at a price of $120k (Rs 73.40 lakhs) and has an additional electric motor, which adds another 315 hp (as compared to 60D and 85D‘s 376 hp motor). Total output stands at an insane 691 hp (221 hp front, 470 hp rear) and 687 lb/ft (931 Nm) torque, capable of acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds (1G on full throttle), 1 second faster than the standard P85 without all wheel drive (Dual Mode). In spite of an additional battery and weight, the range is hardly affected. P85D delivers a range of 275 miles, as compared to 295 miles delivered by 85D. This is because bigger battery, more regeneration energy recharging the battery.

These include lane departure warning, forward facing camera with warning indications that come in the form of a vibration of the steering wheel if vehicle switches lanes without signalling.
