Future Tesla Model X owner’s open letter to Elon Musk

Tesla-Model-X-Elon Musk

Stewart Alsop, a future customer of Tesla Model X was annoyed by the way Tesla handled the launch event of new Model X.

Alsop is among the 30,000 customers who have booked the new Tesla Model X at a down payment of $5,000. He was one of the many customers who were at the global launch of new Model X, which was scheduled to start at 7 PM local time on 29th September 2015.

The event was expected to start at 7.00 pm, but without any particular reason, it started at 8.50 pm. The keeping of invited guests and prospective buyers waiting for such a long period of time annoyed Alsop. His anger was further compounded when Elon Musk failed to apologize for the late start of the event causing him to shoot off a letter to Musk complaining on several factors.

Alsop went on to say that he felt angered and mistreated at the launch causing him to leave the show. When promised a test ride in Model X, Alsop was handed a badge with his number as 1,344. With start of program delayed by 1 hour and 22 minutes and having 1,343 persons ahead of him for a test ride would mean that he would have been there well into the night to get his turn.
