Tesla Model X SUV lands in India from America – 475 kms range all electric

Autocraft Customization has brought in India’s first ever Tesla Model X 100 D for a prized customer, whose details are not revealed. Autocraft adds, “Feeling proud to have provided turnkey end to end consultancy to import, clear & deliver India’s FIRST Tesla Model X 100 D.”

Tesla Model X 100D is priced at $135,200, relating to a price tag upwards of Rs 1.5 crores in India, taking into account import and custom’s duty, GST, import duty, registration and so on. Name of the owner has not been revealed. But the car has been delivered to buyer in Mumbai.

A private buyer has purchased right hand drive Tesla Model X 100 D to India and images of this first ever car in the country have emerged on the internet.

Tesla X 100D is a full sized luxury crossover SUV. It gets falcon wing doors offering easier access to second and third row seating. It is said to be the safest and quickest SUV with its all electric facilities.

Tesla Model X in its base variant 70D comes with 75 kWh battery with a range of 237 miles. It has top speed of 130 mph and 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds. The model imported into India is the 100D. It comes with a larger 100 kWh batter giving 295 miles range, 155 mph top speed and 0-100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds.

Tesla Model X 100D measures 5,037mm in length, 2,271mm in width and 1,684mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,965mm and weight of 2,460 kgs while car volume is of 2,492 liters. Interior comforts include premium seating with heated front and rear seats, driver and passenger lumbar support.

It gets AM/FM stereo with MP3 player and Auxiliary audio input with satellite radio, premium sound system, hard disc drive and Wi-Fi hotspot. In terms of safety, the new Tesla X 100D gets brake assist, electronic stability control, daytime running lights, child safety locks, traction control, blind spot monitor and lane keeping and lane departure assist.
