Top 10 scooter sales Aug 2019 – Honda Activa No 1, Hero Destini No 10

Scooter sales in August 2019 are down almost a fifth. Sales decline is reported at 19.41 percent, down to 4,67,421 units, down from 5,80,025 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales decline is reported at 2.36 percent, down from 4,78,711 scooters sold in July 2019.

Honda Activa as expected remains triumphant atop despite sales contraction. Sales decline is reported at 24.63 percent, down to 2,34,279 units sold in August 2019, down from 3,10,851 units sold in August 2018. MoM sales decline stands at 3.83 percent, down from 2,43,604 units sold a month earlier.

TVS Jupiter has posted 26.98 percent sales decline. Sales is down to 57,849 units, down from 79,223 units sold in August 2018. MoM sales has remained stable at .20 percent growth at 57,731 units sold in July 2019.

Scooter sales Aug 2019

Suzuki Access sales have remained stable. Sales has grown marginally at .43 percent at 48,646 units, up from 48,436 units. MoM sales decline is reported at 5.54 percent, down from 51,498 units sold in July 2019.

Honda Dio sales has declined marginally at 3.44 percent. Sales is down to 37,726 units from 39,068 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales has grown at .28 percent, up from 37,622 units sold in July 2019.

TVS Ntorq sales growth is reported at 41.91 percent. Sales si up at 25,578 units up from a small base of 18,024 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales is up 45.09 percent, up from 17,629 units sold in July 2019.

Hero Pleasure sales decline is posted at 8.95 percent. Sales is down to 16,308 units from 17,912 units sold in Aug ’18. MoM growth stands at 25.60 percent, up from 12,984 units sold a month earlier.

Yamaha Fascino sales declined by 28.79 percent. Sales has contracted to 14,652 units, down from 20,576 units. MoM growth is reported at 22.90 percent, up from 11,922 units sold in July 2019.

Hero Maestro sales decline has been most steep in terms of percentage lost. Sales decline of 59.85 percent sees sales volume reduced to 12,724 units, down from 31,691 units. MoM sales grew 14.03 percent, up from 11,158 units sold in July 2019.

Yamaha Ray sales for Aug ’19 is reported at 9,924 units. This equates to 30.33 percent sales decline, down from 14,244 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales decline is reported at 11.61 percent, down from 11,228 units sold a month earlier.

Hero Destini takes last place in the top 10 list of scooters sold last month at 9,735 units sold. MoM sales decline stands at a staggering 58.28 percent, down from 23,335 units sold in July 2019.
