A series of live shows planned prior to Jeremy Clarkson getting fired from BBC Top Gear, will be held as per schedule and has been confirmed by BBC Worldwide.
Jeremy Clarkson will appear on stage along with Richard Hammond and James May in a series of live shows. These shows were planned even before the Top Gear presenter was sacked by BBC and first live show will take place in Belfast on 22 May, 2015.
However the show will be devoid of BBC branding and content. It will hence be called Clarkson, Hammond and May Live. The show has received BBC Worldwide approval due to the fact that many people have already purchased tickets for the shows. The shows will be held in various venues across the globe such as Australia, Norway, South Africa and the UK.
The new dates of the Top Gear live shows are –
22-24 May – Belfast
5-7 June – Sheffield
13-14 June – South Africa
20-21 June – Norway
28-29 November – London O2
Where Top Gear is concerned, there is still no news on whether James May and Richard Hammond will return to the show while Executive Producer Andy Wilman has confirmed that he will not be quitting the show. In the meantime, Kim Shillinglaw, controller of BBC Two and BBC Four is working on taking the show ahead without Clarkson and broadcast of the last programs of the current series.
