The two petrol motors for new Toyota Etios Cross will be in the form of 1.2l and 1.5l mills. The former will be offered on an entry level variant, generating 80 PS power at 5,600 rpm and 104 Nm torque at 3,100 rpm. The 1.5l petrol mill will be seen on the top-end Etios Cross. It will generate 90 PS power at 5,600 rpm and 132 Nm torque at 3,000 rpm.
Speaking about the diesel engine, it will be in the form of a 1.4l mill generating 68 PS power at 3,800 rpm and 170 Nm torque in the range of 1,800-2,400 rpm. All engine options will be mated to a five speed manual gearbox. All these engines are already on offer in the existing Etios Liva hatchback range. Compared to the Liva, Cross is longer wider and taller by 120 mm, 40 mm and 45 mm respectively.
Fitted with a new chrome grille in the front, new Etios Cross features fog lamps in the turn indicators, roof rails, side-view mirros with turn indicators, rear spoiler, and 15 inch alloy wheels. Offered in a choice of 8 colours, to give a more rugged look to the hatchback, Toyota has added plastic claddings on the sides which merge into the front and rear bumper.
On the feature front, the Etios Cross comes with premium interior finish in piano black with sporty seat fabric. It also has a 2-DIN music system which is compatible with USB, Bluetooth and AUX IN. Other features include steering mounted controls, rear defogger, rear wiper, ABS with EBD and dual airbags in the front.
