Toyota India lifts Bidadi plant lockout wef from Monday, March 24, 2014


After last evening’s update from Toyota Kirloskar Motor, ‘At the instance of the Labour Department, we appreciate the efforts taken by the Govt. of Karnataka for this reconciliation process. Discussions have taken place today but no conclusion has yet been arrived at. Another round of meeting with the Deputy Labour Commissioner has been scheduled for tomorrow,’ it seems today has been fruitful.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Statement on Lockout today states the company has submitted to the Deputy Labour Commissioner that considering the inclination and in the interest of majority law abiding team members, TKM have decided to lift the lock out implemented vide notice dated March 16, 2014.

Keeping this is in mind, team members are welcome to resume wef from Monday, March 24, 2014 after signing a simple undertaking on good conduct. TKM thanks the Govt. of Karnataka for their valuable advice concerning its operation.
