The Toyota Innova Crysta has been spotted at a dealership, indicating that the initial lot of cars are being shipped across the country in preparation for the launch. The price announcement is expected on May 2 and our review of the new gen premium family MPV will be published towards the end of this week.
The Innova Crysta which made its Indian debut at the Auto Expo is based on the improved ladder frame chassis. The second gen model is much more premium than the outgoing one. In terms of dimensions, the Crysta measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. It’s slightly longer, wider and taller than the previous iteration.
The styling, both inside and outside, is radically different. The leaked brochure revealed that the equipment list on the top-end variant includes 7-airbags, touchscreen infotainment system with reverse parking camera, automatic climate control, ABS with EBS, Vehicle Stability Control and so on.

The new Innova is powered by a set of new diesel engines. The base 2.4-litre mill which is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission puts out 150 PS while the range-topping 2.8-litre diesel engine which is mated to a 6-speed AT produces 174 PS.
