The Toyota Innova Crysta variant lineup has been leaked in the form of an e-brochure. The leaked image not only reveals that the new-gen family MPV will be available in three trims – GX, VX and ZX – but also confirms the presence of the range-topping 2.8-litre GD diesel engine.
The base 2.4-litre engine produces an impressive 149 PS and 343 Nm of torque while the bigger oil burner develops 174 PS and 360 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic (only in GX and ZX trims). It remains to be seen whether the new Innova Crysta will be available with a petrol engine or not.
The fully loaded ZX variant will be equipped with airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable driver seat, keyless entry with start-stop button, alloy wheels, fog lights, auto-close tailgate and so on. We expect dual front airbags and ABS with EBD to be standard across all the variants.
The Toyota Innova Crysta clearly takes the nameplate further up the market with a completely new design, vastly improved interiors and several additional features, These improvements would be accompanied by a significant increase in the prices. The base price is estimated to start at around INR 12.5 – 13.0 lakhs (ex-showroom).
