Toyota Kirloskar Motor distributes sports and first aid material to schools
Equipment distributed is intended to benefit students in primary and secondary schools. Naveen Soni, Vice President EA and CSR, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Sailesh Shetty VP HR, Divisional Coordinator,Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Dr. Kowshik Kupatira, Medical Officer, Yusuke Wada Coordinator TKM, Shivarame Gowda Education Officer Ramanagara, MG Kumar Swamy Block Education Officer Ramanagara, Block Resource Coordinator, Cluster Resource Persons of Bidadi and Head Masters from all 110 schools attended the event.
Naveen Soni says Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a responsible corporate citizen constantly working towards development of people, and communities. Distribution of sports and first aid materials looks to improve all-round development of rural children, and in turn, improves the quality of their future.
Head Master from Government High School Bidadi says bringing balance between quality education and extracurricular activities in a safe environment needs to be addressed to mould the future generation. He expressed gratitude to Toyota for stepping forward with the initiative to provide rural children with a better tomorrow.
Toyota Kirloskar Moto’s CSR initiatives lay emphasis on education. In 2000, TKM reconstructed a residential school in Byramangala village. Each year, Toyota India donates school books and bags to local school children. In 2014, 45000 notebooks and 1000 bags were distributed to more than 9500 school children across 128 schools in Ramanagara Taluk. TKM distributed school shoes and socks to 1000 school children. Last year the auto manufacturer reconstructed GLPS Medanahalli and Ashrama Patashale school in Hosadoddi village.
