Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) which sold 12,281 units in October 2012 and registered a 14% growth in sales during the month has seen sales dip in the month of November 2012. The company sold 10,352 units in November 2012 as compared to 13,956 units sold in November 2011 thereby recording a 26% drop in sales.
Innova and Fortuner both registered growth of 9% and 19% respectively. During the month of November 2012, the company sold 4,682 units of Innova as compared to 4,308 units in November 2011 while they sold 1,025 units of Fortuner as compared to just 860 units sold in November 2011. However Etios sales dropped to 4,231 units during November 2012 as compared to 8,271 units sold in November 2011 while 362 units of Corolla Altis and 46 units of Camry were sold in the past month.
These figures could be attributed to the plant manufacturing Innova and Fortuner being shut for a week while the plant manufacturing Etios, Etios Liva and Camry were also shut for a period of 15 days. The company is optimistic of the New Year and hopes to see sales picking up in the first quarter of the coming year.
