Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched a new online retail sales platform called Wheels on Web (WOW). It provides customers with an end to end virtual experience when booking, purchasing, and receiving delivery of their Toyota car. Initially catering to customers in the Bangalore region, WOW is a Business to Customer (B2C) platform that is set to improve the customer experience in the digital space.

With real-time information available on the status of bookings, WOW offers transparency and credibility. Customers can view the car exteriors, interiors, colours, and variants online.  As well as select value-added services such as accessories, service packages, and extended warranty.

They can even trade in their existing cars, with online, and physical evaluations available from the comfort of their homes. Multiple finance options are available, with customers able to select from a range of financial institutions. Buyers can make secure payments through a payment gateway. Booking amounts, full payments, and down payments can all be made online.

Customers can communicate with Toyota via WhatsApp and email at every stage of the booking process. Individual log-in/account access is available to check booking status details.

The company says digital contribution to sales is up 5-fold. e-bookings is up by 20 times YoY. The company launched its virtual showroom in 2021, which has been explored by 1.3 million customers annually. The virtual showroom is now integrated with WOW to provide an integrated and complete digital experience.

With a strong focus on digital experience, the Wheels on Web platform is an important aspect of TKM’s digital business plans. The platform currently lists HyCross (gasoline), Hilux, Legender, Camry, Fortuner, and Innova Crysta (GX) for customers in the Bangalore region.
