
Upward revision in prices of Toyota cars is likely due to increased production costs, although exact details have not been provided
Toyota has increased prices of its large SUV and MPV range, including the Fortuner, Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross. Variant line-up of some cars has also been trimmed, likely based on demand and evolving market dynamics. Toyota cars that will continue to be available at the same price as earlier include the Hyryder, Taisor, Hilux, Rumion, Vellfire, Camry and Land Cruiser 300. Let’s check out the details.
Fortuner / Legender prices hiked by up to Rs 74,000
Prices of Fortuner variants have been increased in the range of Rs 51,000 to Rs 74,000. The base 4×2 MT petrol variant now costs Rs 34.16 lakh, as compared to Rs 33.65 lakh earlier. Fortuner 4×4 lineup now starts at Rs 38.68 lakh, as compared to Rs 38.11 lakh earlier. That’s an increase of Rs 57,000.

Moving up, the 4×2 AT Legender sees a price hike of Rs 63,000. New price is Rs 42.17 lakh, as compared to Rs 41.54 lakh earlier. The Neo Drive 4×4 AT variant is also pricier by Rs 63,000, costing Rs 42.37 lakh in comparison to Rs 41.74 lakh earlier. Next is 4×4 MT Legender, which now costs Rs 44.30 lakh in comparison to Rs 43.64 lakh earlier. That’s an increase of Rs 66,000.
Fortuner Neo Drive 4×4 AT Legender is now priced at Rs 47.46 lakh, as compared to Rs 46.75 lakh earlier. That’s an increase of Rs 71,000. The top-spec Fortuner GRS variant sees the highest price hike of Rs 74,000. It is now priced at Rs 49.59 lakh, as compared to Rs 48.85 lakh earlier. Toyota has also trimmed the Fortuner lineup by discontinuing the Leader variants. These were a limited-edition option, offered at the dealer level.

Innova Hycross prices hiked by up to Rs 48,000
Toyota has discontinued the base G 7-seater and 8-seater variants of the Innova Hycross. The new base variant is the GX 7-seater, priced at Rs 19.15 lakh. That’s an increase of Rs 29,000, as compared to the earlier price of Rs 18.86 lakh.
Hycross strong hybrid range starts with the VX variant, available in 8-seater and 7-seater options. Both these variants have seen a price hike of Rs 40,000. New prices are Rs 26.35 lakh and Rs 26.30 lakh, respectively. Coming to the top variants, the ZX 7-seater sees a price hike of Rs 46,000. The ZX (O) has become costlier by Rs 47,000. The top variant, ZX (O) LE 7-seater is now priced at Rs 32.38 lakh. That’s an increase of Rs 48,000, as compared to Rs 31.90 lakh earlier.

Innova Crysta prices hiked by up to Rs 33,000
Toyota has increased prices of the Innova Crysta in the range of Rs 21,000 to Rs 33,000. Base variants, GX 7-seater and GX 8-seater, have the highest price hike of Rs 33,000. Both of these are now available at a starting price of Rs 18.99 lakh. The GX+ 7-seater and 8-seater variants see the lowest price hike of Rs 21,000. Moving up, the VX 7-seater and 8-seater will cost Rs 24,000 and Rs 25,000 more, respectively. Innova Crysta top ZX variant sees a price hike of Rs 26,000. New price is Rs 25.53 lakh, as compared to Rs 25.27 lakh earlier.
Rumion variant rejig
While there is no revision in the pricing of Toyota Rumion, the base E MT variant has been discontinued. Rumion is essentially a rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The Rumion base variant was available at Rs 9.51 lakh. Following its discontinuation, the starting price of Rumion is now Rs 10.44 lakh for the S MT Neo Drive variant. Top-spec V AT Neo Drive variant is priced at Rs 13.62 lakh.
