Toyota India partners with only service dealers for customer benefit and better reach

Smaller tier cities and towns are the natural choice of business expansion for all and sundry. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced its service network expansion with the launch of PRO Service centres. They are being set-up in cities and towns where Toyota service centres are not present yet.

Toyota PRO Service Centres are integral to the company’s continued reach and network expansion. Equipped to service all Toyota cars, these centres will work just like their big city counterparts, and are charged with undertaking free service, regular paid periodic maintenance, minor general repairs and minor body and paint repairs as per Toyota standards.

PRO Service Centres

PRO Service workshop owners can service non-Toyota cars too. Yes, at these new service centers, cars of any brand can get services. To ensure they meet Toyota’s global standards of service, the repair shops will access direct parts supply, alongside technical and operational support from TKM.

Working in close collaboration with nearby Toyota dealers will ensure that PRO Service workshop owners, dealers and customers benefit from the business model.

Centres are currently operational in Narnaul (Haryana), Nagaur (Rajasthan), Jorhat (Assam), Kharagpur and Asansol (West Bengal), Morbi, Patan and Palanpur (Gujarat). The proposal to reach another 80 locations by 2020 end will be completed by a significant proportion of PRO Service outlets. Strictly designed as service facilities, these centres have no sales operations.

Naveen Soni, Senior Vice President, Sales and Service, TKM, said, “There was an emerging business need for service operations in smaller cities and towns owing to the increasing number of Toyota car owners. With the launch of the PRO Service centres, our customers can get their cars serviced in their own city or town and avoid travelling to bigger cities nearby for the same.”

Service network expansion

Ongoing service network expansion caters to customer convenience across larger areas. TKM has selected centre locations after thoroughly vetting needs. This puts focus on cities and towns that have seen a rise in Toyota car owners, and this has made it important to have a service centre closer to existing customer clusters.

The pilot Pro Service centre was initiated at Jorhat, Assam in January 2020. Project initiation means, TKM has gained insight into customer needs in far and wide regions, and workshop owners. Nation-wide launch of PRO Service, and the existing MICRO 2S (sales and service) centres TKM has significantly increases service footprint in smaller cities and towns.

Toyota India fully supports the new network so as to achieve the manufacturer’s established SOPs, and to enable lean stock, and high supply. They are also responsible for operational and technical training for all centre staff. PRO network is part Toyota India’s regular manpower development programmes and processes.
