Toyota sales grew both YoY and MoM in Dec 2025 with the Hycross and Hyryder commanding major attention

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) performed strongly in India in December 2025, with total sales of 34,157 units sold in the domestic market. This was a healthy 37.25% YoY growth along with a 13.53% improvement on a MoM basis. Strong performance was seen for models such as the Hycross and Hyryder while the Glanza and Taisor too were among key sellers.

Toyota accounted for total domestic sales at 34,157 units in Dec 2025. This was a 9,270 unit volume increase from 24,887 units in Dec 2024. MoM sales too ended positively with a 13.53% rise from 30,085 units sold in Nov 2025.

Robust growth, driven by strong domestic demand was seen in the case of Hycross. Sales stood at 7,162 units last month, a 20.17% YoY growth from 5,960 units while MoM sales also improved by 7.63% when compared to 6,654 units. It was followed at No. 2 by the Hyryder with 7,022 units sold. This was a 47.21% YoY improvement over 4,770 units of Dec 2024 while there was a 5.02% MoM decline. The Hycross and Hyryder together command a 42% share in the company portfolio.

Toyota has seen good demand for models such as the Glanza, Taisor and Fortuner. Glanza sales stood at 6,451 units, a substantial rise in volumes from 3,487 units a year earlier. It related to a healthy 85% growth positioning the Glanza among the fastest-growing premium hatchbacks in the segment. Glanza sales also improved on a MoM basis by 28.20%.

In the sub 4m crossover segment, Toyota Taisor continued to garner much attention with 4,457 unit sales last month, a 69.50% rise over 2,628 units in Dec 2024 while MoM sales improved by 40.29% as compared to 3,177 units in Nov 2025. Toyota Fortuner was also in higher demand by 34.22% YoY and 10.65% MoM to 2,961 units.

Sales of Crysta dipped to 2,737 units in Dec 2025 which was a 26.82% YoY decline. It did however, see better MoM sales by 3.63%. Buyers in India showed an attraction towards the Rumion badge-engineered version of Maruti Ertiga. Sales went up 53.63% YoY and 50% MoM to 2,727 units.

Toyota Hilux, Camry – YoY Growth, MoM Decline

Toyota Hilux and Camry accounted for 232 unit and 200 unit sales in Dec 2025 respectively. While this was a strong YoY growth, MoM sales declined sharply. Vellfire from Toyota has seen the highest percentage growth in sales in Dec 2025 at 123.81% to 141 unit sales. There had been 63 units sold in the same month last year. MoM sales also ended positively by 63.95%. Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, brought in as a CBU, also accounted for improved sales at 67 units in Dec 2025, up 21.82% from 55 units sold in Nov 2025.
