Toyota posted positive YoY and MoM sales with sales at 15,267 units in Feb 2023
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has seen outstanding success in Feb 2023 in terms of sales. The company has reported a massive 75 percent YoY growth to 15,267 units sold in Feb 2023 up from 8,745 units sold in Feb 2022. MoM sales performance also remained positive with a 20 percent growth from 12,728 units sold in Jan 2023.
Toyota Sales Breakup Feb 2023 – Glanza Regains No. 1 Position
Even as the Hyryder was the best-selling model in Jan 2023, it was Toyota Glanza that once again topped sales charts in Feb 2023. Glanza sales were 4,223 units in the past month, a MoM growth of 27 percent from 3,327 units sold in Jan 2023.
Next up was the Innova, which includes the sales of HyCross as well as Crysta. YoY sales dipped by 3 percent to 4,169 units in Feb 2023 from 4,318 units sold in Feb 2022. However, MoM sales improved by 192 percent from 1,427 units sold in Jan 2023. Toyota Fortuner sales also ended positively last month, up 85 percent YoY to 3,426 units from 1,848 units sold in Feb 2022. MoM sales however, dipped 7 percent from 3,698 units sold in Jan 2022.
Toyota Hyryder dipped to a No. 4 position in Feb 2023 after being at the top of sales charts in Jan 2023. Sales stood at 3,307 units last month, down 21 percent MoM from 4,194 units sold in Jan 2023. It was also at No. 4 on the list of best-selling compact SUVs after the Creta, Grand Vitara and Seltos.
Toyota Camry, Vellfire, Hilux
Sales of the Toyota Camry dipped 58 percent YoY to 67 units in Feb 2023, down from 161 units sold in Feb 2022. MoM sales improved by 14 percent from 59 units sold in Jan 2023.
The company has noted increased demand for the Vellfire luxury MPV in recent months. Sales which had stood at 31 units in Feb 2022 improved by 94 percent YoY to 60 units in Feb 2023. MoM sales also saw a 173 percent growth over just 22 units sold in Jan 2023.
Of the Hilux lifestyle pickup truck, sales were at 15 units in the past month. This was a 1400 percent MoM growth from just 1 unit sold in Jan 2023. Toyota Hilux is offered in three variants and now comes in at a starting price of Rs. 30.4 lakhs, which is a price cut of Rs 3.59 lakh. Innova Crysta Diesel Is Back
At the end of last year, the company had taken off the Innova Crysta from its lineup ahead of the Hycross making its official debut. Now, the company has launched the Innova Crysta. This time around, it comes in powered by a sole diesel engine. It will draw power exclusively via a 2.4 liter diesel engine that offers 148 hp power and 360 Nm torque via a 5 speed manual gearbox.
