Toyota Tacoma Back To The Future concept pays tribute to the movie

Toyota Tacoma Back To The Future concept front

The concept is based on the 2016 Tacoma but is customized to pay homage to the original truck from the movie.

When Dr. Emmett Brown, Marty McFly and Jenniffer Parker traveled to the future from 1985 in the Back to the Future II movie, they entered the new world on October 21, 2015, which is now in the past. While the movie buffs are busy comparing the film’s prediction of 2015 and the present world, Toyota has slipped in something for the car buffs to talk about.

In the movie, Marty McFly was shown to be lusting over a tricked up Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. While the year 2015 depicted by the 1989 flick is quite different from the present reality, the Japanese automaker has made an honest attempt to match its new pickup concept with the customized one it provided for the movie back then.

Toyota Tacoma Back To The Future concept side

The new Toyota Tacoma Back To the Future concept is based on the 2016 Tacoma which went on sale in the US in September. It is painted in custom 1985 Toyota Black and is kitted up with off-road suspension, TRD wheels, Goodrich tyres, custom tubular bumpers, KC Hilites Gravity LED spotlights and grille lights, “D-4S 4WD Fuel Injection” badge which was seen on the original movie truck, tailgate with”TOYOTA” logo, mud flaps from 1985 Toyota truck and vintage head and taillights.
