Track days organized at Buddh International Circuit by Jaguar
In the wait upto the 2012 Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit from the 26th to 28th October 2012, Jaguar, the iconic British brand put up a spectacular 3 day Track event. Indian F1 racer Narain Karthikeyan was at the centre of these activities as he trilled audience and media alike with his super fast laps across the circuit on the last of the three day event.
The drive at Buddh International Circuit has given Jaguar prospective customers and owners a taste of Jaguar’s technical and design excellence on a state of the art racing track. The three day track events involved Guided Laps, Dynamic Driving and Hot Laps for which participants were divided into teams of four to participate in the lap events.
They then participated in Dynamic driving which saw high speed maneuvers on the track displaying skills of handling, stability and prowess around sharp turns. In the Hot Laps segment, teams were given tips on professional driving techniques by skilled international drivers.

With less than a month to go for the Indian Grand Prix, Buddh International Circuit spurred into action with 3 days of Track activities organized by iconic British Luxury brand – Jaguar. The initiative aimed at creating a unique driving experience for current and prospective customers as well as select media witnessed an overwhelming adrenaline raising response.
Indian F1 driver and ardent admirer of Jaguar cars, Narain Karthikeyan thrilled the audience with his hot laps around the circuit on the final day of the event. It was a special treat for all present to have him driving on the track.
Mr. Rohit Suri, Vice President, Premier Car Division, Jaguar Land Rover – India said, “We are overwhelmed to see our valuable Jaguar owners and potential customers come together in such large numbers to experience a day full of thrill and excitement. The drive at Buddh International Circuit has given them an opportunity to explore the technical and design excellence of Jaguar on a fully -fledged race track.”
The on-track driving experience activities were divided into three key categories – Guided laps, Dynamic Driving and Hot laps. The “Guided Laps” segment had the participants split into teams of four to complete several rounds of the lap while they switched the lead position of convoy during the course. The next segment, “Dynamic Driving” consisted of high speed maneuvers on the track, showcasing the handling and stability of the vehicles through various degrees of sharp turns. In the final segment: “Hot Laps”, the teams were given a complete professional driving experience at high speed by the highly skilled and trained International drivers.
