Replacing the old T100, new Triumph Bonneville T120 was launched in India at the 2016 Auto Expo, which is where it also made its country debut. Though it was launched in February, booking orders were not being accepted. Triumph India has now opened the order books for new Bonneville T120.
Powered by a new liquid-cooled twin cylinder 1200 cc engine, which delivers80 hp @ 6550 rpm and 105 Nm (77.4 lb-ft) of torque at just 3100 rpm. This means that the new engine delivers 18% more power and 54% more torque than the older T100’s engine.
Another highlight of the new engine is that it delivers more power not only towards the lower range, but also across the entire rev range. Compared to the previous engine, the new one delivers 50% more powerat 4500 rpm.
Apart from getting a more powerful engine, the new Triumph Bonneville T120 also gets a much better throttle response system thanks to new generation ride-by-wire tech and engine management system. It also gets an updated 6 speed gearbox.
Speaking about its design, the new Triumph Bonneville T120 continues to carry the iconic 59 Bonneville’s design details. Highlights include flowing sculpted lines on the tank, detailing of the lights, and Bonneville silhouette.
