In celebration of 10 years of production of Rocket III cruiser, Triumph Motorcycles unveiled the Rocket X limited edition at the 2014 EICMA. With only 500 units on offer globally, the exclusive motorcycle has made its way to India. But, only 15 units are on offer.

2015 Triumph Rocket X will be seen in custom paint, specially created by a Triumph approved company called 8 Ball. It sports an overall black finish – right from its fly screen above instruments, handle bars, mirrors, gears and brake levers to its 5 spoke alloy wheels. Even the exhaust is painted in specially created paint, which is also heat resistant.

Apart from the special colour, to draw attention to the fact that Triumph Rocket X is a limited edition, the cruiser will receive a limited edition side panel badging numbered 1-500. This badge is machined from a single billet of solid aluminium. Not sure which badge numbers are on offer in India.

Power to the Triumph Rocket X comes from a 2.3 liter three cylinder engine that is also seen on the Triumph Rocket III. This engine is capable of 148 hp power at 5,750 rpm and 163 lb/ft torque at 2,750 rpm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 12.2 seconds while top speed stands at 220 kmph.

Triumph Rocket X

Considering that the regular Rocket III sells at INR 21,29,560, the price of Triumph Rocket X is not very high. For the customization you get in less than Rs 1 lakh, this seems like a very good deal.

Just like all Triumph motorcycles, Rocket X will receive a two year unlimited mileage warranty on new Triumph and Genuine Accessories besides a 12 month unlimited warranty on replacement parts.
