Triumph Motorcycles has launched Triumph Thruxton R cafe racer in India priced at INR 10.90 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. This highly anticipated product was introduced by actress and bike enthusiast Gul Panag.
Seen with a new styling package and more powerful engine, the new Triumph Thruxton R cafe racer completes the company’s Bonneville range that also includes Street Twin and Bonneville R120.
Triumph Thruxton R cafe racer comes in powered by a new 1200cc parallel twin engine offering 96 bhp power at 6,750 rpm and 112 Nm torque at 4,950 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox. This is the same engine that powers Bonneville T120 but it receives a low intertia crank allowing for better rev power.
The new Triumph Thruxton R cafe racer boasts of better styling. Suspensions are painted in gold while it gets a new headlight design with DRLs, LED tail lamp and 3D dual clocks on its instrument panel. On board equipment includes ride by wire in three varying driving modes – rain, road and sport while it also gets switchable ABS, switchable traction control and torque assist clutch.
Brembo brakes with monoblock calipers at the front and single disc at the rear is also evident while where suspensions is concerned, the Triumph Thruxton R cafe racer gets Showa big piston forks, Öhlins rear suspension along with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa Tyres. The bike also receives upto 160 stylish accessory options and two optional Inspiration Kits that include full on Track Racer Kit and Ultimate Café Racer Kit.
