The Triumph Tiger 800 XCA adventure tourer has been launched in India at 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new top-end variant of the popular off-roader is the fifth member of the comprehensive Tiger family (XC, XCX, XR, XRX).
The Tiger 800 XCA is based on the already richly equipped XCX off-road focused variant and adds more features like a larger capacity 650W alternator to cater to the increased power requirements of standard heated rider/pillion seats, handlebar grips, and LED fog lights.
Visually, the new variant can be identified by means of Khaki Green and Chrystal White color options. It also offers optional Triumph Expedition aluminium pannier system.
Other feature highlights include an adjustable ABS system with Road, Off-road and Off settings, traction control (again with the same three settings), throttle maps with four modes – Rain, Road, Off-road and Sport, cruise control, advanced trip control, aux 12V power socket and so on.
The off-road focused variant comes equipped with spoke wheels and fully adjustable WP USD front fork and WP mono suspension at the rear. A tubular trellis frame holds the motorcycle together.
Power comes from a proven inline three cylinder engine displacing 800 cc. The motor develops 95 PS at 9,250 rpm and 79 Nm of torque, and comes paired to a 6-speed transmission.
