On test since the start of this year, new TVS Apache 200 is based on the Draken X21 Concept which was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The production version of the new flagship Apache is expected to make a global debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, and here are the first clear images of the bike.
Too early to suggest, but it is also possible that the new Apache draws some styling inspiration from the recently unveiled BMW G310R, which TVS will be manufacturing at their plant in Hosur from next year.
A naked sport bike, which will go up against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar AS200 (NS200 production remains suspended), new TVS Apache 200 spied in the images above, features telescopic suspension in the front, black alloys with new design, petal disc brakes, aluminium brake and clutch levers, high raised handle bar in matte black finish, fuel filler cap is placed a bit on the side (not in the centre), split seats, raised pillion seat which has storage space under it, good pillion grab bars, conventional side blinkers and headlamp, aluminium foot-pegs with rubber for extra grip, tubeless TVS tyres, monoshowck rear suspensions, prototype exhaust, tank shrouds, underbelly protector and faux honeycomb grille on the side and rear.
TVS Apache 200 instrument clusterApart from this, it is also the first time that we have a clear look at the instrument cluster of the new Apache 200. This one is a fully digital cluster, which displays speed, engine rpm, fuel level, time, gear engaged, odometer, trip meter, service reminder, and ABS icon below the digital cluster.
Expect the TVS Apache to be priced at about INR 1 lakh. More details will be revealed closer to Delhi Auto Expo.
