Only limited number of units are being shipped initially.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V which was unveiled on 20th of January has started arriving at dealerships in prominent South Indian cities this week. Bangalore outlets have received a few units of the motorcycle already while dealerships in Chennai are expecting their consignments to reach by this weekend. Meanwhile, the company is promoting the motorcycle across India. The image here is courtesy of Aparajita TVS which is based out of Bhilai.

Rushlane has learnt that initial dispatch will include only carbureted variants, and that too in limited numbers. This indicates that production of the flagship motorcycle is yet to be ramped up at the Mysore plant. We also expect the prices of the carb variant to be revised by INR 2,000 from its original price of INR 88,990 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The fuel-injected variants are expected to hit the showrooms by mid-April.

The Apache RTR 200 4V carb is powered by a 195.75 cc air-cooled engine (with oil-cooled combustion chamber) which produces 20.5 PS and 18.1 Nm of torque. The fuel injected variant makes 21 PS while the torque output is identical to that of the carb model. Both variants employ a 5-speed transmission.
