Inspired from the Draken Concept, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V sports strong similarities to the RTR 160 and 180. Sporty in design, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V receives muscular fuel tank, new radiator, exhaust canister, 17 inch alloy wheels, and petal disc brakes with dual channel ABS.
It is also seen with a split seats, split grab rails for pillion and LED taillights along with RTR standard rear view mirrors, foot pegs and clip on handle bars. The soon to be launched TVS Apache RTR 200 4V sits on multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in TVS tyres, 90/90/R17 up front and 130/70/R17 at the rear.
Leaked engine specifications reveal that the new Apache 200 gets a 197 cc oil-cum-air cooled single cylinder engine offering 20.23 PS peak power at 8,500 rpm and 18.1 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed unit. This engine is a derivative of that seen on the outgoing RTR180 with larger bore size of 66mm. The engine idles at 1400+200 rpm while fuel efficiency is rated at around 30-35 kmpl.
Set to be launched at an expected price of around INR 95,000, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be offered in six color options of Silver, Red, Yellow, Black, Matte Black and White. It will compete against the Bajaj Pulsar 200, and KTM Duke 200 besides others in the 200-250cc category. A notable feature aboard the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is that the bike will be offered only with an electric start function and devoid of manual kick start option.
