TVS Apache RTR 200 split seats spied upclose
Spyshots of the TVS Apache RTR 200 have been pouring in of late as the motorcycle is gearing up to be launched on January 20. We have a closeup shot of the new street fighter’s split seats.
Unlike most of its rivals which offer a small pillion seat with compromised comfort, the Apache RTR 200 sports a large and wide split unit. The saddle too appears to be contoured to maximize comfort.
The Apache RTR 200 is styled by deriving inspiration from the Draken concept which was showcased at the previous edition of the Auto Expo. The recent spyshots revealed the sharp edged headlamp cluster which incorporates sporty LED pilot lamps. A muscular fuel tank with extensions, flat handlebar, fully digital dashboard, alloy wheels, LED taillights and a unique silencer with twin apertures and an auxiliary chamber.
The bike is equipped with conventional telescopic front fork and a monoshock rear suspension. Both front and rear wheels are retarded by a petal disc brake each. High-end variant will be equipped with dual-channel ABS.
The air-cum-oil-cooled motor of the TVS Apache RTR 200 is likely to displace around 200. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the bike is estimated to output around 25 PS and 22 Nm of torque.
The motorcycle is expected to have a starting price of INR 85,000 (ex-showroom).
