Indian two-wheeler giant, TVS Motor Company, has disclosed information about upcoming launches, but not all of them, just the first two – one in Q1 and other in Q2. The motorcycle marque did not confirm the order of the two launches, just that one will be new Victor (executive bike) and other will be a high power premium bike (over 150 cc). While Victor is exciting, the other one is intriguing. We know TVS BMW K03 naked bike is slated for launch this year, but has been expected to show up in later part of the year. So we take a hint dropped by K N Radhakrishnan, President and Chief Executive Officer of TVS Motor, when he told analysts that the company is looking at an opportunity to improve the presence of existing products like Apache, Jupiter and such. It has got to be an updated version of TVS Apache, as the bike has been out of the radar for quite sometime and the rivalry is eating up its sales.
With new launches, TVS Motor Company has set a target to improve market share from current 13.5 percent to 14-14.5 percent in fourth quarter in domestic market. In exports, the firm is looking to attain 15 percent market share by the same quarter.
