TVS NTorq Race variant unveiled – Delivers 20+ hp

TVS Ntorq SXR has made its debut at the 4th round of Indian National Rally Championship 2018 in Nashik being held on 25th and 26th May.

One of the leading rickshaw and moped maker in the country, TVS Motors has revealed a race-spec variant of their newly launched NTorq scooter. This new TVS Ntorq SXR scooter will be seen in action at the 4th round of Indian National Rally Championship 2018 in Nashik being held on 25th and 26th May.

The Ntorq SXR is being raced by 3 time national championship winner Syed Asif Ali and Shamim Khan. The race spec model, is a successor to the SXR 160 and is similar in design to the standard Ntorq 125. It is expected to perform well at the Nashik INRC.

This new TVS scooter is powered by a race tuned, single cylinder engine, with race tuned intakes and exhaust system along with a better ignition system. This engine is capable of 20 bhp power as compared to the 9 bhp offered on its standard Ntorq 125 allowing for a top speed above 120 kmph. It sits on 12” off road steel tyres and gets hydraulic suspension that allows it to compete with others in its class.

Mr. B Selvaraj, Team Manager, TVS Racing regales the new TVS Ntorq SXR and is confident of its capabilities at the INRC Nashik. The scooter has been put to the test and proved its performance and reliability.

Following its participation at the Indian National Rally Championship 2018 in Nashik, the TVS Ntorq SXR will also head to other rallies, such as the Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally scheduled for sometime in July.
