The Bajaj Boxer scored among the top exported two wheelers in December 2019 with 93,168 units shipped to global markets.
An analysis of the data top 30 two wheelers exported in December 2019 take total exports to 2,73,540 units, up 13 percent as against 2,42,075 units exported in the same month of the previous year. In the lead was the Bajaj Boxer with 93,168 units exported in the past month. This was an increase of 14.45 percent or 11,766 units as compared to 81,402 units exported in December 2018. The Bajaj Boxer has been discontinued in India, but still noted outstanding sales in many countries outside India.
Bajaj Auto Limited, also had the CT100, Pulsar, Discover and Platina on the list of top 30 two wheeler exports in December 2019, with all expect the Platina showing increased number of exports. Platina though it featured at No. 12 on the list with 4,212 units exported saw a dip of 27.18 percent as compared to 5,784 units exported in December 2018. Bajaj CT and Pulsar exports increased 3 percent and 47.71 percent respectively while Bajaj Discover exports remained flat at 8,316 units exported in December 2019 as against 8,258 units exported in the same month of the previous year.
TVS Motors had the Star City at No. 2 among the most exported two wheelers in December 2019. Total exports of this model stood at 39,498 units, up 53.19 percent as against 25,783 units exported in December 2018. TVS Motors also had the Apache at No.9, NTorq, Sport, Wego, Radeon and XL Super among its top exports in the past month. The NTorq, Sport and Wego noted negative exports while Wego and Radeon showed some increase while exports of the XL Super increased a dramatic 625 percent to 1,537 units in the past month as against just 212 units which were exported in December 2018.
At No. 5 on the list of most exported two wheelers was the Honda Dio with 10,554 units exported in the past month, a significant increase as against 8,476 units which were exported in December 2018. Honda also had the X Blade with 2,448 units exported at No. 17 and the Hornet 160R at No.21 of which 2,035 units were exported. Honda’s Navi, CB Shine, Livo, Dream also featured among the top 30 exported bikes in the country with the CB Shine posting positive numbers at 1,737 units exported, up 136 percent as against 735 units exported in December 2018.
Hero Glamour, HF Deluxe, X Pulse and Hunk also made their way to this list of top 30 exports in December 2019 of which only the Hunk posted positive numbers while the Hero XPulse was only recently added to the company lineup with 1,662 units exported in the past month.
While Suzuki had a sole entrant on this list with the Gixxer at No. 10 with 4,954 units exported, down 8.46 percent as against 5,412 units exports in December 2018, Yamaha had the FZ at No. 6, the Saluto at No. 8 followed by the Ray, FZ25, SZ and Saluto RX which followed down the ranks in the list of top 30 most exported two wheelers in the past month. However, it was only the Saluto that noted an outstanding increase in terms of exports to 6,020 units, up 2472.65 percent as against 234 units exported in December 2018. All the other models noted de-growth.
