
Hero MotoCorp commanded the domestic sales list in Dec 2025 while the export list was headed by Bajaj Auto, but overall it was TVS Motor who took the no 1 spot
India’s two-wheeler market witnessed a significant reshuffle in December 2025, with TVS Motor Company emerging as the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer for the month. Strong domestic demand combined with healthy export numbers helped TVS overtake long-time leaders Hero MotoCorp and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, marking a major milestone in the brand’s growth journey.
Total 2W Sales Dec 2025 – (Domestic + Exports)
Taking into account both domestic sales and exports, the 6 automakers have each shown off positive results. There were a total of 18,99,891 units sold in the Dec 2025 period. This was a YoY growth of 36.25% from 13,94,434 units relating to a volume increase of 5,05,457 units. On the other hand, MoM sales fell sharply by 17.26% as compared to 22,96,151 unit sales of Nov 2025.

TVS led with 4,61,071 units followed by Hero with 4,56,479 unit total sales. Honda had 4,46,048 units sold in the past month while Bajaj sales stood at 3,10,353 units. Suzuki and RE sales were at 1,22,366 units and 1,03,574 units. Each of these two wheeler OEMs have reported double digit YoY growth. However, MoM sales saw significant decline though Suzuki and RE ended the month on a more positive note.
Two Wheeler Domestic Sales – Dec 2025
Domestic sales stood at 14,65,139 units in Dec 2025, up 38.72% from 10,56,206 units sold in Dec 2024. This was a 4,08,933 unit volume increase. MoM sales fell by 21.19% as against 18,59,048 units of Nov 2025 down by 3,93,909 units. Hero MotoCorp once again topped domestic sales charts with 4,19,243 units, a 42.53% YoY growth from 2,94,152 units in Dec 2024. Currently commanding a 28.61% share among this group of 6 two wheeler markers, Hero has suffered a 26.52% MoM decline as 5,70,520 units had been sold in Nov 2025.

At No.2 was Honda with 3,92,306 unit sales last month, a 44.81% YoY growth. It was models such as the Activa, Shine, Unicorn, Dio and Hornet that continued to hold the attention of buyers in the country. However, demand ebbed on a MoM basis as sales fell by 26.49%.
Strong demand for models such as the Raider, Jupiter, and Apache series has boosted TVS Motor sales by 53.60% in Dec 2025, showing off the best YoY growth in this group of 6 leading two wheeler makers. The company however, suffered a 9.64% MoM decline as against 3,65,608 unit sales of Nov 2025. Bajaj Auto sales improved 3.03% YoY to 1,32,228 units in the past month but dipped 34.71% MoM Suzuki and Royal Enfield have both witnessed rising YoY and MoM sales at 97,823 units and 93,177 units respectively.
Two Wheeler Exports – Dec 2025
All major two wheeler makers with the exception of Royal Enfield, have reported healthy double digit YoY gains in terms of exports in Dec 2025. Total exports stood at 4,34,752 units, a 28.54% rise over 3,38,228 units while MoM exports declined marginally by 0.54%.

Global demand was highest for Bajaj Auto with 1,78,125 units shipped last month, a 23.84% growth from 1,43,838 units of Dec 2024 to command a 40.97% share on this list. MoM exports also grew, albeit marginally, from 1,77,204 units. TVS exports also surged 34.85% to 1,30,709 units while the company suffered a 1.15% MoM decline. Honda two wheeler YoY exports went up by 44.61% to 53,742 units though numbers dipped from 57,491 units shipped in Nov 2025. Hero exports were at 37,236 units relating to a 21.08% YoY and 9.61% MoM growth while exports of Suzuki and Royal Enfield stood at 24,543 units and 10,397 units respectively.
